Our Town and All Around beats the Entertainment Book in the Cleveland area any day. See why the 2009 book is the best ever.

I’ve always been a big fan of restaurant coupon books, especially the truly local books. The books are usually very inexpensive, only $25, and you can save more than you paid for the book in two restaurant visits.

A book I’ve used for many years is the Our Town and All Around book that is published locally for the Cleveland area. I can’t count the number of restaurants I’ve reviewed on this site that I’ve used the Our Town book. Most of the restaurant deals offer buy one get one free meals where you can easily save upwards of $20 per meal.

The thing I like about the Our Town book is that they are a local company so many of the deals it offers are those that you are going to use. I’ve just gotten my copy of the 2009 book and I can’t believe all of the great coupons for spectacular restaurants. They’ve added this year new sections featuring Northeastern Ohio’s Wineries and East 4th St. Here are some of my favorite restaurant deals featured this year:

Bubba Q’s

Grovewood Tavern & Wine Bar

House of Blues

Fat Fish Blue

Bar Louie

Saffron Patch

Hoggy’s

Loco Leprechaun

Burgers and Beer

Shula’s 2

I also love the golf and Westside Market sections, you can’t beat buy one get one free greens fees or free chorizo.

This is the biggest book they’ve ever had and I highly recommend that you go over to their website and order one now. They make great Christmas presents and if you know someone that’s going through a rough patch, the book is a great way to help them save some money. Now is the time to order.

Eatingcleveland.com has teamed up with Our Town and All Around, so we’re going to be giving away a bunch of these books over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for giveaways and contests so you can win a book of your own.

Restaurant coupons are a great way to save on your family's food costs. This post details 5 great places to find restaurant coupons.

Seeing as that you’ve lost 60% of your retirement fund in the last two weeks, you’re probably looking to save a few bucks. When times get tough we all like to do the things that make us feel comfortable and for a lot of people it’s enjoyable to go out to eat with the family. Wouldn’t you like to be able to take your family out for dinner and pay a little less for it?

Here are 5 great places to find restaurant coupons:

1. The restaurant’s website – Almost every restaurant has a website and that is the first place to go to find restaurant coupons. The chain restaurants like Red Lobster, Mongolian Barbecue and Qdoba all have online “clubs” that you can join where you will receive coupons via email.

2. Online Deal Forums – A quick search of online deal forums is an excellent place to find virtually any type of restaurant coupon. Two of the better ones are Slickdeals and Fat Wallet.

3. Wow Coupons – Always a great list of current restaurant coupons for the savy diner.

4. Valpak – Although I think that their weekly mailings tend to be a bit annoying, there can be some good deals on restaurants on Valpak’s website.

5. A Simple Online Search – There is this great website out there, its called Google. And you can search for whatever you’re looking for by just typing it into the search area. As an example, you could type “subway restaurant coupons” or “local restaurant coupons” in the search area and you would get results asking for what you’ve put in. Pretty sweet.

One place that a lot of people will tell you to go for restaurant coupons is restaurant.com, but I honestly think the place is a scam. I’ve looked on there a number of times over the years and I’ve never found anything of value. It’s all setup so the customer loses and to me that is just not right.
