My answer is NO FREAKIN WAY!  I personally think you’d have to be idiotic to knowingly put your health, possibly your life, at risk for a meal.  I personally don’t care what disease it is: meningitis, hepatitis, AIDS, the flu, that’s inconsequential.  What matters is that the person cooking your food is handling something you are going to be ingesting and at any point in time something could happen that could cause your food to become contaminated.  How many times have you cut yourself in your kitchen and made 5 more slices before you realized it? 

In my book, I see no way to justify the risk.
