Do you want to know if the person cooking your food has any communicable diseases?

Big question. I know. Cleveland radio giant, Mike Trivisono, brought this topic up a few years ago. At that time I was surprised by the number of people that said it wouldn’t effect their restaurant choice. I think a better way to ask this question would be: Would you eat a a restaurant knowing full well that the person making your meal had a contagious and highly dangerous disease?

My answer is NO FREAKIN WAY! I personally think you’d have to be idiotic to knowingly put your health, possibly your life, at risk for a meal. I personally don’t care what disease it is: meningitis, hepatitis, AIDS, the flu, that’s inconsequential. What matters is that the person cooking your food is handling something you are going to be ingesting and at any point in time something could happen that could cause your food to become contaminated. How many times have you cut yourself in your kitchen and made 5 more slices before you realized it?

In my book, I see no way to justify the risk.
