I know what you’re saying. Gourmet pizza, in Chardon? Are you smoking doobies Mark? Alas, I am not.
A few weeks ago the old lady and I were out with our son in beautiful Geauga county when we passed through Chardon Square and saw people waiting on the sidewalk for Noce. My first thought was that they must be giving something away with a John Deere logo on it, we were in Chardon after all.
We were welcomed inside with the rich smell of garlic, down a short hallway to the maitre de’s stand. Once we saw the size of the place, it was no longer a surprise there were people waiting outside. There were maybe 5 or 6 small tables tightly packed into the dining area, everyone of them filled.
Since we had brought a two year old who wasn’t interesting in waiting for pizza, regardless of how awesome it may be, we made the decision to get it to go. Trying decide on just one of the pizzas on the menu was tough, every one of them sounded delicious, but I settled on the sausage-mushroom-gorgonzola-garlic pizza.
Oh shit that was good pizza. All of the topping were of very high quality, especially the sausage which met my ridiculously high “fat man” standards. The combination of all the flavors was perfect with the salty richness of the sausage being cut by the tangy cheese and sweet pieces of roasted garlic. Crispy crust on the thin-side made for an excellent base. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in a very long time.
Check out Noce Pizza in Chardon, they are right on the square.

Yay! You’re back! Hubby and I have recently started wandering out east a bit and we were thinking of Chardon as a place to have a look. We haven’t been out there in ages. We’ll have to check out Noce! The pizza sounds great!

This place rules. Great pizza, reasonable prices, and the best thing of all: you can bring your own beer/wine!

Thanks for the great comments. We try to do an awesome job on every pizza we send out of here. When you have time Mark you need to enjoy a pizza in house and get bread and salad to go with it. Everything is fresh and made in-house. Even the two year old would love to eat the bread and salad or some homemade soup and color on the table covering while he is waiting for his food. We try hard to make it a family friendly place!!

My 10 Reasons why I dont like coming to this blog:
1. The food really looks appetizing at about 3.00pm when I have missed lunch and am still waiting on a fare.
2. It makes me feel like I wasted 50 dollars on Sunday taking the family out to this out of the way restaurant near nowhere and next to motel 9 or is it 5.
3. Am too hungry now to even blog anymore…but I will keep coming back maybe somebody is going to Chardon.

I totally agree! I grew up near Chardon, and when I was home last summer, my dad and I went – Noce has better pizza than I can find in Columbus. The perfect crust!

Noce means NOT in italian – Pizza WAY overpriced and you can get better elsewhere – poor Chardon – we have a Brew-Pub that’s always out of beer and a “gourmet” pizza place that charges $20 for a DiGiorno pizza….

We love going to Noce! The pizza is always fabulous and there are soooo many choices. Being able to bring your own wine is also a great perk. A real treasure on Chardon Square!
