The month of May is coming up soon… just a few days away. It has always been my favorite month of the year. Both my husband and I celebrate our Birthday’s in May. I try to do something simple yet special for my hubbie every year… and this year will be no exception. Normally we get a small gift for each other and have brownie’s with ice cream. We are not big fans of just plain cake & icing, so we do the “Birthday Brownie” instead of the cake. Well what does this have to do with cheesecake you ask? I thought I “switch it up” this year and try something different… My husband LOVES cheese cake… he could eat it every day. So I’ve decided that I’d like to buy a cheese cake for his Birthday this year instead of making the brownies.
Now, I need your help with this. The only cheesecakes we have had are either home made or store bought from Sam’s Club or Giant Eagle. Now my mother would tell me just to get a good recipe and bake it… well, I love to cook, but I’m as good of a baker. Therefore, I’m going to forgo making it at home, and I’d like to find a nice place that sells the BEST Cheese cake ever! Where can I buy the BEST Cheese Cake ever in Cleveland?

Even though it’s a chain, you really can’t beat the Cheesecake Factory for cheesecake. My favorite is the Tuxedo, but they have a cheesecake for every taste bud.

I have a GREAT N.Y. style recipe. It’s not hard to make just takes forever. (Like 3 hours, see, forever) If you want the recipe let me know.

NO WAY is it the cheesecake factory. I hands down say the best cheesecake in cleveland is made by Slices Bakery (http://www.slicespastries.com/) – honestly, I have dreams about it. It’s NY style, so it’s light and airy, not dense. Seriously, I’ve lived all over the country, and I’ve had it shipped to me everywhere I’ve lived.
I can’t recommend it enough.

I’m with your mom…bake it yourself! But if not, then my first thought is also Cheesecake Factory.

Cheesecake Factory rocks if you do not want to bake yourself, however there is a fab book called “Cheesecake Extrordinaire” by Mary Crownover. It has over 100 recipies-everything from plain to fancy. Mine is very well loved and I get requests all the time from friends and family.

The Cheesecake Factory rocks? Honestly, what is wrong with you people? Has the economy collapsed your taste buds, along with your dignity? Let me take a wild guess and say that all of you who praised about ‘Che-Fak’ (I’m sure that’s what you Westlakers call it) also find the freshest fruit to be the daiquiri bar at Applebee’s. The cheesecake at places like Slices, Joe’s, and Chicago Deli make your precious ‘Tuxedo’ look like a dirty diaper in comparison.
Honestly, would LeBron eat at a dump like The Cheesecake Factory? No. He would slam some dunks, take a money bath, play a sweet guitar solo, and support local businesses.

I love the raspberry and key lime cheesecakes at the Cake stand at the West Side Market. I go back and forth about which one I like better.
