Clevelanders what truly is Cleveland’s best food?  If someone was visiting Cleveland and they asked you, what five things to I have to eat while I am here?  What would you tell them?

Let me know in the comments.

I’d like to compile a list of 100 Cleveland food must haves, here are a couple I’m going to add, in no particular order:

  • Christmas Ale – Great Lakes Brewing Company
  • Fresh Chèvre – Lake Erie Creamery
  • Slovenian Sausage – Raddell’s Sausage
  • Stadium Mustard – David Food Company
  • Wake & Bacon – Melt Bar and Grilled
  • Lola Fries – Lola
  • Chocolate Mountain Strawberry Pie – Gray House Pies

details on tommy’s: the best way to enjoy tommy’s is to get a big group together and try a bunch of the food.

start with the hummus, cold. a plate of fries (with vinegar).

the best food there has got to be the toasted cheese sandwiches (i like the IRS with mushrooms) or the toasted pies (i love the TG which includes lamb and offends my vegetarian friends.)

they also make amazing falafal, and brocolli cheese rissoto.

then you end the meal with a peach yogurt milkshake.

    YES!!!

Muncipal Stadium Magic from The Melt

Agree that Malley’s Hot Fudge is a must for this list.

Disagree on any burger from Buckeye Beer Engine– they are frozen and not fresh. Not a fan.

I’ve got to try Sophie’s and Raddell’s soon.

I’d add the Polish Boy from Hot Sauce Williams. It’s delicious and it’s unique to the region.

I would agree with anything from Melt, all of the food I have tried is wonderful, good service and fun atmosphere.

I would add the Pad Thai from Phon Penn, really excellent and different.

The best pierogis ever are at Babushka’s Kitchen in Northfield Center.

The Korean food at Seoul Hot Pot is also excellent, very home style.

    3. Wake & Bacon at Melt.
