It sounds like the script from a movie: Two young girls in kindergarten, the best of friends start a lemonade stand and hit it off by selling cookies to neighbors.  Some many years later, these two girls, decide that those cookies might still be a hit.  After indulging friends and family with old-fashioned cakes and cookies, they knew they still had a winner on their hands.

And so began the Baker Babes Bakery.

If you hop over to the Babe’s website, you won’t find any cakes covered with fondant.  You won’t see cookies shaped like buildings.  And the muffins aren’t as big as your head.  That’s because the Baker Babes aren’t into fancy, they’re more concerned about taste.

That’s why they use old-school recipes and offer a number of items that you won’t find at any other bakery.  Some of the more unique are Patsy’s Pleasing Peach and Blueberry Bread, Rosie’s Root-n-Toot-n Rhubarb Muffins, Coco Chanel’s Mini Chiffon Cake and the ever popular Dahlia’s Dreamy Chocolate Cookies.  I love the traditional feel their products have, you can almost feel the passion they have for their baking.

And really, isn’t that what baking is all about?  Passion and sharing love?  Well, if you want to share some of their love with your friends and family (a fat guy like me would love some good chocolate chip cookies for Valentines Day) here’s how you can contact them.  But don’t procrastinate, call or email them today.  They need at least 48 hours to get your delicious treats ready and they’ll even deliver to the Cleveland area.
