From our reader Susan:
This seemed like an appropriate site to express myself regarding a first visit to a wonderful eating experience my husband and I had at Boulevard Blue on Larchmere near Shaker Square.
Evidently this restaurant just changed hands a couple of weeks ago and the new owner/chef Kurt Steeber treated us to a great experience. The decoration is clean and modern with a full bar.
My husband and I had a wonderful meal, I started with an appetizer that intrigued me by it’s name; Devils on Horseback, a fresh prune with a blue cheese filling and wrapped in bacon. Delicious!! I then enjoyed a type of Cesar salad called "Et’Tu Brute" served with the freshest anchovies. I had to taste something I have never tasted before, well, wonder of wonder I had to eat all five of them. I then had the walleye entree – pieces of grilled walleye that was surrounded with potatoes and onions and greens and who knows what else, but so beautifully served and delicious.
Anyway,we were so pleased and anxious to try other entrees that we are going there this evening for New Year’s dinner and I understand a Jazz band. I just felt compelled to support new endeavor.
Anyone else been to Boulevard Blue recently that would like to share their opinion? Please do so in the comments.
