Boy, the things you find out in a gynecologist’s waiting room. As I waited with my wife for one of her last visits before the baby comes, I paged through this month’s copy of Cleveland Magazine.
This month they are highlighting the best that Cleveland has to offer and to my surprise (probably to everyone else’s as well) this site was voted by the readers of Cleveland magazine as the Best Blog in Cleveland.
Totally freakin’ rad.
I didn’t even know I was nominated.
This is probably a good time to thank everyone that reads this site on a regular basis and to those that subscribe. The site, in its few years of existence, has grown to a size I never could have expected with readership over three times what it was last year.
I have a lot of fun putting this site together and I know Stacy does too, I’m glad our friends and neighbors enjoy reading about our food filled lives. Ok, so mine’s a little more food filled than hers. We have so much more planned for the site and we can’t wait to let you all experience it.

congratulations!!! on the baby and the best of award! this is my favorite place to go for restaurant reviews, and the occasional disaster recipe story. you’re funny and always seem so excited & full of joy about food and life in general. i think that’s how you won the award.
lesson learned: chubby guys can be perky!

that’s so awesome Mark!!! Congratulations!
I know that feeling. I was skimming through our local little paper here last month and I had to do a double take. There was a picture of my 8 year old with his name in the caption, taken at a class he participated it. I never knew they took his picture and therefore didn’t expect to see that.
But Cleveland Magazine is WAY cooler than our local paper and to be voted best blog in all of Cleveland??? That’s awesome. I’m sooo gonna buy a copy of that issue!
