You know what’s better than some really old cheese? Not a damn thing.
My co-worker has family up in the Madison, Wisconsin area and every time she visits she is nice enough to bring back delicious cheeses from Brennan’s Market. Above are two blocks of cheddar she brought back for me, cranberry cheddar and 5-year aged cheddar.
Cranberry Cheddar
This white cheddar cheese is studded with dried cranberries for a great mix of salty and sweet. I would have liked a bit more cranberry flavor, but it was still pretty good.
5-year aged Cheddar
A-freakin-mazing. The greatest cheese I have ever eaten. This sharp cheddar cheese is dry aged for 5 years before it’s put out for sale and you can certainly tell. The sharpness slaps you right across the face and eventually fills your mouth with a warmth that can only make you smile. Seriously good stuff.
While you can’t order the cheeses online right now, you’ll be able to for the holidays starting November 18th. The 5 year Cheddar is a bargain at only $10 a pound.

I recently visited a friend in Madison, WI and he served a Yellow Sharp Ceese which I proceeded to devouer. I believe he said it was 3 year aged chedder—it was in red packaging—he also had one in black packaging. Can you help me?
Is it possible to order direct thru your web site? Do you have any literieture regarding your chedder’s?
