Ok where did you go that you could pick blackberries??? I LOVE blackberries! And since my daughter & I love blackberry jam I would love to try making my own as well.

Canning is pretty easy. You sterilize everything in the dishwasher and then, while everything is still hot put in whatever you need to can. Put on the lids and slide it into boiling water. About 10 minutes later, you’ve got some preserved foods on your hands.

A box of a dozen jars with lids are about $8 – $10. But you can reuse the jars and tighteners.

Oh, out of curiosity, how much did this all cost you? I’m wondering how much cheaper canning is. My mom used to can tomato juice and then use it all year long to make spaghetti sauce. Yuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmm.

Before I forget, did you guys listen to Clay Aiken on your trip to the berry patch? *lol* Sorry, I couldn’t pass that up. No harm intended.

How hard is canning? Oh, and I am guessing from the paper plate in the pic you ship at Costco? Yeah, I know, I see and think of the weirdest things.
