I got the opportunity recently to submit a recipe for a cookbook! How exciting. Yes, I know what you’re thinking, they probably were desperate.
It was for a good cause though. The group, Neighbors Project, is a non-profit organization with a goal of improving city neighborhoods and relations amongst neighbors.
Their Bodega Party in a Box program was designed to get people in major cities who only have the opportunity to shop at small grocery stores or bodegas, to purchase healthy and fresh foods when the opportunity presents itself.
I submitted my famous, Mushroom Tart recipe and it was included in the cookbook provided with the kit. I suggest you visit their site and consider buying one of the boxes and having a bodega party for yourself. All of the profits fund the Neighbor’s Project.
