Ever since I had heard that Matt Mytro left Paladar for a new position with Steve Schimoler at Crop Bistro, I wanted to try Paladar again to see if anything had changed.

It turns out, nothing has.  It was still as good as ever.

One quick downer.  We started out our meal with the chef’s special mango-shallot guacamole which oddly enough had neither mango or guacamole.  I think we just got served the wrong one.  The various tortilla, plantain, and yucca chips were a tasty twist on the standard offering though.

I couldn’t have been happier with the grilled skirt steak I order for dinner.  Perfectly cooked and covered with a fresh chimichurri sauce that I’m going to be making at home the next time I cook steak.

It was a nice meal with perfect service.  Yep, not much has changed with Mytro’s departure, Paladar is still a great place to enjoy a Latin meal.
