New York City, the same people that brought us this freakshow , now requires restaurants with 15 or more locations to display the calorie counts of their food on their menus. The city believes that consumers will make healthier food choices if they have more information about what they are eating.
While I don’t necessarily like the idea of knowing how many calories that Big Mac has in it, I do think that some people may want that type of information. However, I don’t feel that it should be the Frank Jackson’s responsibility to force the restaurants to post this type of information, that decision should be left up to each restaurant.
What do you think? Should Cleveland restaurants be forced to display their calorie counts on their menus?

I would LIKE to have nutrition info listed, but wish reataurants would do it voluntarily as a service for those who want it.

No, not on the menus but they should have it in a little informational guide for those interested in seeing it.

I mostly reside in New York and love having the information. It does help me make smarter choices. It’s doubtful any restaurant would do this unless they were forced. The restaurant assn. in NYC fought this and lost. Cleveland should require it — especially in fast-food establishments.
