It’s almost that time of the year where those delicious thin spears of asparagus start poking through soil left damp by our last snowfall melting. I can’t think of anything more delicious than fresh and local early Spring asparagus.
I know there is a farm in Madison that sells its freshly clipped asparagus, but I’d like to find some other local growers. If you grow asparagus for sale or know someone that does, please let me know where I can get it in the comments.

Hey Mark!
Been meaning to leave a comment for a while now. I subscribe to your blog and look forward to your posts.
For asparagus, try Beriswill Farms in Valley City. (www.beriswillfarms.com) They have awesome produce, including a yearly garlic festival late summer with locally grown organic (to die for).
Their meat is also all organic and very tasty.

I can think of probably 1,000 things more delicious than asparagus, regardless of season, but that’s just me. Mark, on behalf off all rotund men in NE Ohio, please reconfirm your carnivorous habit; not zucchini, fettucini, or bulgar wheat, but a big warm bun and a huge hunk of meat!
