The Wing House
8807 Mentor Ave.
Mentor, Ohio 44060
440-255-4800

The Wing House has been one of my favorite haunts for years now.  They have phenomenal buffalo chicken wings, great fresh-cut french fries and ice cold beer.  The last time I went to the Wing House I ordered the end all, be all of deep fried chicken wings: buffalo garlic Parmesan.  They are so good you won’t wash your hands for a week just so you can continue to enjoy the intoxicating smell.  I will venture to say that the Wing House’s buffalo garlic Parmesan wings are the best chicken wings in Cleveland.

On a deliciously unhealthy side note, it appears that as an added bonus you can still smoke cigarettes in the bar at the Wing House.  Yeah, really.  Smoking inside a building in Ohio.  What will they think of next.  I am not quite sure how exactly they are pulling it off, but I was there on a Saturday afternoon and the bar area looked like Rusted Root concert.  Yeah, I pulled out a Rusted Root reference.

First of all this “story” is absolutely untrue. I am the owner’s wife and we closed the restaurant on Sunday February 3rd. We became a NON smoking establishment back in April 2007. It is Illegal to smoke in any public establishment in the state of Ohio, we would never risk our liqour/food vendor license to allow people to smoke. And Dumb ass its Garlic Hot parm wings and not buffalo garlic wings. You need to stop spreading you pathetic gossip and get a clue.

Oh no Kristy! Not my wing house! Not my wing house! Clayton and I will always remember the Wing House! What a wonderful establishment! I have many, many fond memories of eating the delicious wings and drinking the frosty beers. I suppose it is my fault I went back to college that I couldn’t continue my ventures up there every tuesday with my band of friends, and of course our dubbed “Sunday Business Meeting” with Clayton and myself. I hope I meet all the hard working and fun loving staff again. RIP Wing House Mentor…

Yikes! K Cala Is that how you talked to your customers? The Guy totally complimented your wings and you call him a dumb ass. I have to agree that the last time I was there before it closed, it wreaked of cigarette smell. So maybe, the place was just wreaking still from past smoke. That was the reason I never went back.

Is it true? Rumour has it that is getting ready to reopen. I’ve seen activity around there lately. Any one have the scope? I hope it’s true cause we loved going there for years.

I also heard whoever took it over will keep the same menu but I didn’t know about the name, etc.

It appears this place is still at it. My son is owed for 6 days of work and the owner could care less. He told him to bring the FBI he doesn’t care

This place is gross! While being there to listen to a local band,we saw numerous people walking in and out of the kitchen and they weren’t on duty and doubt that they were even part of the staff. Oh, and they even use Aldi ketchup! Still looks dumpy in the inside. Forget about the kids menu, because it doesn’t exist.

The Wing House service stinks! I went there for lunch and they came out one hour later to tell me that they were out of what we ordered and then asked if we wanted something else. I then tried to go again for dinner to give them another chance and it took over an hour for a stinking hamburger. Avoid this place –overpriced bar food that takes forever to get.

I recently ate at the Wing House in Mentor. Ordered my favorite California Gold wings. About 20 mins. later the waitress comes back & says oh, we don’t have any barbecue sauce to make the California Gold. Ummm hello, you should’ve have known that when I placed the ordered that you were all out of barbecue sauce. What kind of wing place would be out of barbecue sauce???? Also ordered garlic cheesy bread. It was $4.99. The order I received was more like $1.00 worth! Not planning on eating at this wing place again any time soon! Very disappointed!!!!

Went there on a Friday night to hear a good band
Took 15 min. just to get a beer and it wasn’t crowded.
Seems to me the bar maids were more concerned with there tip jar than the customers.
