Now I’ve written previously in this space about Arrabiata’s, but the meal I had there a few weeks ago was a completely different story. Jessie and I met there for a late dinner after some independent Christmas shopping.
I ordered the chicken arrabiata and it was just pathetic. I like spicy foods a great deal and the heat in this dish was nice, but it was prepared so half-assed.
Here is a quick walkthrough of the cook preparing this dish: cook chicken breast in pan, throw in a handful of peppers, pour in some marinara sauce, sprinkle with pepper flakes and garnish with two cherry peppers. Bing, bang, boom. Joey Buttafuco. Gimmie your $16!
Arrabiata’s is capable of turning out better product than that.
