We’re having a contest here to give away some of the cool stuff that we got from the good folks at Hibachi House.  The first prize is going to be the huge soft-sided cooler that they sent us, the second prize will be a coupon for a free Hibachi House meal at your local retailer and third prize will be a pat on the back, because we don’t have anything else to give away.

Here is what you have to do to win:  In 250 words or less, I want to know your favorite Cleveland Restaurant and why.  That’s it.  You can submit your entry in the comments or via this form.  The contest will run until August 11 at which point we will select the best two entries and announce the winners.

Without a doubt, Nuevo Acalpulco in North Olmsted! Hubby and I never had a regular restaurant but this has been it since its opening about 12 years ago. I almost hate to mention it because it’s becoming more and more popular (and thus requiring a long wait).

There are traditional Tex-Mex faves but once you explore the menu, you get Tacos Al Carbon, enormous grilled flour tortillas filled marinated, lime chicken or steak and topped with Parmesan and Pico de Gallo. Arroz con Pollo boasts a mouthwatering sauce and mushrooms. Or Camarones a la Crema, large shrimp sautéed with mushrooms in a Parmesan cream sauce. Yummm!

Ok, so I’m a white suburban mom…what do I know about great Mexican? My college Spanish teacher who was originally from Yucatan named this as his absolute favorite restaurant in Cleveland. Take that, Luchitas.
