Strawberry Picture

Is there anything better than eating fresh picked strawberries right out of the field? I can’t think of anything. It’s that time of the year again here in the Cleveland area, but with that wicked storm we got on Easter weekend word is the picking could be slim. I can’t find it online, but my favorite place, Patterson’s Fruit Farm was in the News Herald yesterday saying that their crop is going to be severly limited this year. So if you want to pick strawberries this year, you better do it early.

If you are interested in finding your local berry farm in the Cleveland area that offers "Pick your own" berries, you can find it on this list of Cleveland and Northeastern Ohio Berry Farms.

I just called Patterson’s Fruit Farm and they will begin "Pick Your Own" on June 12th at 8 a.m. They will have picking only on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday during June. Picking starts at 8 a.m. and continues until they are picked out. The price is $1.40 a pound and they provide the container.
