I've gotten a lot of heat recently because I don't like the food at The Depot. I am apparently the only person in Painesville that doesn't enjoy their offerings. I had been there numerous times in the past, but never found anything I liked. But, being the fair minded person that I am, I decided to give The Depot another shot. That was my first mistake.
My second mistake was going at lunchtime. The place was packed and I got stuck in a oddly situated corner table. My final mistake was ordering the rib lunch. Disgusting.Â
The ribs were a very fatty St.Louis cut that were grilled less than a Miss America contestant. I think they may have been boiled or roasted. Either way, they were chewy as hell. I was there for almost an hour because I was trying to find the meat on these ribs. It was pretty sad.Â
Oh, I almost forgot about the sauce. How could I forget about the sauce? Maybe because it was so bad. I'm pretty sure it was Kraft or some other store brand that was really watered down. Not only that, it was a very bright orange color. Maybe so deer couldn't see it. You know how deer love the shit out of ribs.Â
Unless I get dragged their against my will or someone else is paying, I can't see going back to The Depot.
