I had heard some good things about the Branding Iron in Mentor, so I was excited to try it yesterday. The parking lot was absolutely packed, but upon entering I was obvious that all of those people were in the bar. The dining room only had a few full tables so there were plenty of places to sit. Just as I sat down a waitress walked by with a heaping plate full of chicken wings and they smelled like heaven. I swear to God, if heaven does't smell like that, I will be severely dissappointed.

From that point on I had it in my head that I would be ordering chicken wings. However, that thought quickly fizzled when I saw the prices of their chicken wings. $14.99 is a little ridiculous for 20 wings. So I settled for a buffalo burger topped with hot sauce, ranch and onion rings. I had seen the onion rings pass by me as well and they looked wicked good, so I added on a side of those.

The onion rings, for what they are, were great. Big and crispy, just the way they are supposed to be. The honey-mustard they were served with tasted like human waste, but they were fine without accompaniment.

The burger was a different story. I was really looking forward to a nice juicy burger, cooked medium rare, just dripping with fat and cow blood. What I got was a premade, frozen hamburger patty, formed out of God only knows what part of the cow. You know the kind of hamburgers you can buy at Wal-Mart for like 50 for $3.00? That's the shit that they served me and called it a 1/2 pound of ground beef. I'm sorry, but in my book, I don't consider cow rectum to be ground beef. You worthless bastards that own the Branding Iron ought to be ashamed of yourselves for serving that crap. What kind of restaurant are you running where you think it is ok to serve frozen hamburgers? Maybe you guys should take over the lunch counter at the bowling alley. I'd expect this kind of shit there. And I know damn well they wouldn't charge me $7.99 for it.

This place is ridiculous. I'm too ticked to even go on.
