As a person who has grown tired of the crappy bread sold at my local megamart, I was so glad to find T&T's bakery in Painesville. They have the most delicious and fresh Italian bread known to mankind. It's only a $1.35 a loaf which is less than you're going to pay at the grocery store. They even have a drive-thru so your lazy ass doesn't even have to break a sweat to get a loaf of bread.
I like the fact that they don't slice their bread prior to your order, that keeps it fresh much longer. Don't worry about keeping it fresh though, you'll be lucky for it to last an entire day. For a change of pace, ask them to slice it thick. A one inch thick slice of bread is just waiting to be lathered with butter.
If so some reason your loaf goes stale on you, make some homemade croutons. It is easier than going to the store and buying a box. Cube the slices of bread and pour them into a large bowl. Sprinkle on some garlic powder, Italian seasoning and olive oil, but don't go over board. Mix to coat the cubes and lay out in a single layer on a sheet pan. Cook at 250° for 20 minutes or until the cubes are sufficiently dried out. Store them in a Ziploc bag and they will keep for the rest of eternity. Once you've gone this far, a couple of pulses in a food processor and you have some perfect bread crumbs.
