Longhorn  Steakhouse
9557 Mentor Ave.
Mentor, OH 44060

Since I am thinking about restaurants that I don't like, it seems like a perfect time to bring up Longhorn.  I am not very fond of Longhorn Steakhouse.  My first reason being that, no matter how rare you order a steak in a restaurant it always ends up medium when they bring it to the table.  That only strengthens my belief that I can cook a steak better at my house than a restaurant can make me.  The other reason that I prefer to stay away from Longhorn is that their menu is pretty pathetic.  Not a lot of variety.

The limited menu is what brought me to my favorite standby dish, chicken fingers.  Now, let me be clear by saying that I did not pay for this meal, so I do not feel that it would be right for me to complain about the prices.  However, I do think that $11.99 is a little pricey for 4 chicken fingers and some fries.

Everything on my plate was horribly over cooked.  The chicken fingers and the fries had been left in the fryer far too long, something I had a problem with at Longhorn on a prior visit.  Only that time, the waitress didn't have the balls to bring me burnt food.  The best example of my meals condition was the broccoli that I ordered.  IT WAS CRISPY!  Under no circumstances should broccoli ever be crispy!

So Longhorn is just another in the lost list of crappy chain restaurants to which I won't be going back.
