I got home late last night and I was to lazy to make anything from scratched so I searched my freezer to find a box of OnCor Sliced Turkey and Gravy. I was disappointed to see an hour worth of cooking time on the back of the package, so I mixed and matched the microwave and oven directions. I took the meal out of the box and popped it into the microwave for 10 minutes. About halfway through that cooking time I glanced at the microwave to notice the top of the meal blown up like a balloon. I forgot to cut holes for steam. I jabbed it a couple of times with a knife and put it back in for the rest of the time. Once it was done in the microwave I gave it a stir and then I chucked it into a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. The packaging said to let the meal sit for a few minutes after it was done, so I took that time to toast a couple of slices of bread. Once the bread was toasted I stirred the Turkey and Gravy in what appeared to be 20 gallons of poultry gravy. The meat was literally swimming in the gravy, it was actually difficult to find the meat with all of the gravy. When I did find it I was disappointed to see that the meat was pretty pathetic. The slices were so thin thin you could probably see through them and the racists over at OnCor had the white meat and dark meat segregated. Well I ended that with the Turkey Civil Rights Act of 2006. Ok, I just stirred it all up. That still didn’t take away the fact that the gravy looked like the stuff that Dr. 90210 sucks out of his patients thighs, but I was hungry. Praying to the good lord of frozen food that it tasted better than it looked, I took my first bite. It was ok. It didn’t taste anything like real turkey and gravy, the consistency was missing and any turkey flavor was drowned out by the gravy. Unfortunately that gravy had no flavor. Too bad. I still ate it, but I don’t think I will buy this product ever again. Make some real turkey and gravy or stick with the OnCor Salisbury Steak.
